If you can make it to the end of the video without giggling once, shame on you.

I had been meaning, for a very long while, to do some kind of meta on Dean, ever since 4.16 came around. But I never quite knew how to go about it, mostly because Dean and his fucked up feelings have been discussed so often in the past. And then I had a (rather fantastic) discussion with [livejournal.com profile] no_ones_sleep about Dean (with a side of Sam) in the comments of my 6.16 post and realised it was everything I'd wanted to say. So I'm reposting it here (edited, of course, because there was a lot of other talk that went on as well- AND I had a sticky keyboard that day and there were a lot of embarrassing typos made).

So! All italicised indented parts are [livejournal.com profile] no_ones_sleep 's comments.

Onwards to the meta. )

So, I personally am not on tumblr, but my sister is, and tumblr, being the badass crazy guy in the bus stop, provides a lot of genuine entertainment. Like this precious gem.

At least the Catholics have got a good sense of humour :) )Oh internet, I do so love you.

is my favourite Agatha Christie book ever. It's psychological thriller themes and closed-off setting are timeless, providing the basis for all kinds of other media- P.D James' The Skull Beneath the Skin (which I didn't like, at all), Mindhunters, Harper's Island etc etc. It's more than the idea that you know the killer, it's the idea that it could be you, that underneath the exterior of human there's something dark and dangerous and twisted.

Yay! so audioboo is working again for me, and thus you get TWO (though really, I think I'm two more days behind anyway) in order for me to catch up. Tomorrow I'm recording nine and ten, and probably eleven and twelve, since up till now I've been recording them a few days in advance so that I'm not influenced by others responses. Anyway!

So... I may have cheated a little bit. But honestly, I couldn't do that to Show! It's like choosing which child is your favourite- there shouldn't be just one (unless you only have one child, but that's a different dilemma).

Day 5 - Your favorite episode:

onwards to the sound machine! )

My apologies. I got a little rambly, then went off in a tangent. But I liked it, so I kept it.

Day 4 - Your least favorite season:
audioboo! )

I love Danneel Harris, and her romance with that Ackles boy is squeeworthy. Like, looking at the Lakers photos, I think I had a grin on my face the whole time looking at them. I love her, just love her.

Which is why, when one of the photos kind of made me do a double-take, I flipped out until I figured out what was wrong with it.

This is the photo in question:
lots of pictures, plus commentary below. )

And finally, take a read of this awesomesauce article thingy, which applies The Little Mermaid to an older audience.

If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own lj and replace any question that you dislike with a new question. Tag ten people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.

In other news, Australia still has no leader, because the Independents are taking their time dating the two main party leaders before they decide who's going to be their boyfriend.

Here's an excerpt from something I'm currently working on:

Sam gapes up at him and whispers Dean! You're not supposed to say things like that! And yeah, Dean knows that, doesn't really know why he said that, only December's eyes are big and grey and she brought it up first anyway, and Dean kinda feels like she's okay, like she'll get it, and won't ask questions.

Read it out loud. And then laugh, because that second half... it's ridiculous right? I should change it because it rhymes so freaking wierdly... and completely by accident. I only just spotted it now, doing a readthrough, didn't occur to me in writing.

It is wierd yeah... it's not just me? And I need to fix it?

at this weeks Glee.

I should clarify: it was the Madonna episode. Now, I'm not a big glee fan, and Rachel annoys me to no end, and I can live if I miss an episode (my sisters fill me in on it anyway). But it's cute and I like the songs, if notalways the renditions and I was terrified that they'd not do such a great job on Like a Prayer (because they completely butchered Highway to Hell the week before) which is first and foremost my favourite Madonna song, and one of a few that I really really like) but they did well, if it was a little short. Frankly, it could have been more epic if they had given it a bit more time.

I'm still upset about them killing AC/DC though. I can't get over it easily, it still shocks me when I think about it.

And finally, be careful and do not talk to me about Supernatural. I'm caught up to episode 5.19 now, but I have to wait until next Wednesday to be able to watch 5.20 and 5.21, in prep for 5.22 (which will hit the internet on my Friday afternoon). All I know is what's in the promo's and what's on those sneak peeks they release. Nothing more.

Okay, I have a new finally; actually, three:
1. I bought the Mumford and Sons album. I do hope you all know what I'm talking about, but if you don't, check them out. They've got such a beautiful sound.
2. I LOVE LEVERAGE. I've been wanting to see it for a while and shamefully fell in love with it via IMDB quotes, but didnt want to download it, so I've had my eye on the video stores and such- and when I found out I could buy it, but couldn't find a place to rent it, I nearly bought a copy (whch wouldn't have gone down well with my family) and was going to sell it if I didnt like it (which I thought impossible, but you never know). But then, SPOTTED at my local video rental place, I hired it out yesterday. And promptly fell in love with it all over again. Now, I know for sure that I will buy it, but I might have to wait till Christmas.
3. I'm working on a new story. The Big-Bang-that-is-no-more is being put on the backburner for a while because it's still not happening, so I['m working on something newer, and shorter. And so far, while I like the premise, it's awful. I'm so out of practise and it shows. It's terrible terrible bad awful writing and I'm dreading the edit.

Done. For real. I promise.
