After much deliberation and quote reminiscing I have decided on the following. As much as I enjoy quotes with substance (say, from heavily thematic novels... or Descartes or Plato or Shakespeare) this one brings me pure enjoyment:
Before you insult someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you do insult them... you're a mile away, and you have their shoes!
