reversebang: fml
Oct. 31st, 2011 03:15 amOVER 5,000 WORDS AND JARED HASN'T EVEN MET JENSEN YET.
On the bright side, I'm over the word minimum, and for the first time in my life I will write something with length to it, and prove that I can in fact do so.
On the dark side, I'm nowhere near finished and the draft is due in like, a day and a half *panics*. I'll send in what I have with a very apologetic letter as to why it doesn't have an ending. My reason for only being 5,000 words in instead of like, 10,000 (at least) like I wanted is that every single MAJOR assignment for uni was due in fucking October, so LJ got put on the backburner, and reversebang only gives a month (this time around) to write the damn thing.
Also, I have to write my statement of intent for my honours application, due tomorrow. Which I HAVEN'T STARTED AT ALL.
I usually hate acronyms, so here's the full version:
Fuck My Life.
Also, I want Sherlock to come back. I miss it.
Looking for a beta
Oct. 23rd, 2011 08:14 pmUnfortunately, this year's
spn_reversebang requires all fics to be beta read, which, while a fair rule, I agree, means that my own beta read isn't enough to qualify.
So, who wants to do it? it's J2, a cracky death!fic (that is, it's about reapers, but there's no graphic deaths or depressing themes, just lighthearted fun) and, if I can work up to it, will probably have a sex scene of some kind. So heads up, just in case. Also, I don't need it done immediately. I'd send it in somewhere between early and mid-november.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm mighty happy.
Although, after I posted, I totally wanted to change my mind and make my second choice my first choice, but then re-looked at it and thought "no, I want this one after all". Now I'm all confused and kind of want to do both.
Anyway, it's a J2 about the afterlife! (reapers, to be exact). And the art is just gorgeous
Nevermind that, it's the very talented
[SPN]: The Time is Near.
Oct. 31st, 2010 09:10 pm5,593 Words
PG-13.
Gen, apocalypse!fic.
For
mangacat201 and
spn_reversebang
Warnings: Slight horror themes, some bad language.
Summary: Lucifer has risen, along with the horsemen. But a year and a half later, the final battle still hasn’t come to fruition and the demons have disappeared completely. Sam and Dean are leading a compound and not talking about the abilities they both possess, but when Castiel goes missing, it’s time for them to get back on the road, back to their life and back into the war.

Just checking in.
Sep. 27th, 2010 07:52 pm- Am going to start working on reverse bang soon, since the deadline is a LOT closer than I originally anticipated, but I know where I'm going with it (which is a first) so I should be able to get to 5,000 (at least) fairly easily. I haven't started yet because there's still a few assignments I have to finish up for uni which are somewhat major and I'm putting off, and I'm finishing up a piece for
- I'm not putting up any more of my original-from-class-fiction because one of my assignments is a 'portfolio' of work, and I don't want to accidentally get pulled up for plagiarism should they check it (which they shouldn't, but you never know) and then have to explain that yes, this journal belongs to me, this work is still mine. And so is the fanfic.
- There's a bunch of other unfinished work that I'm thinking I may just post up anyway, because I just don't know if it'll ever get finished. Is it worth putting up unfinished stuff?
- I'm finally catching up on bigbang fics. Really slowly though. (I haven't read anything in MONTHS). I bought an e-reader and downloaded a lot of them in pdf form so that I can read them in private when I'm waitng for class to start.
- This last line goes out to
new challenges.
Jul. 20th, 2010 11:41 pmI have high expectations of myself for this, and my fingers permanently crossed in optimism.

I need something to get me happy about writing- I've written two stories for
