I know! I haven't seen episode two yet (i'm planning on it tonight or tomorrow) but from what I know about episode three, I'm freaking out that Dean is NEVER, going to say it!
If he doesn't by mid season- I will find some way to punch him.

Oh you will just LOVE it, it's so cool, but I won't spoiler. Just that the title is a VERY very good hint. And I'm kinda mad at him right now... because it's all right and reason with the trust issues and such (notwithstanding that Dean kinda trusted Castiel over Sam as well...) And I can see why there would be a rift between them. But going there and letting Sam wallow in all the weight of the world on his shoulders without telling so much as a lick of 'oh btw Sammy you suck for setting Lucifer free, but you couldn't have really, if I hadn't broken the first seal you know...' THAT irks me. Makes Dean a self-righteous little wuss right now... and Sam reached out to him again and again. I think he's in denial... someone should club him over the head. HA.

I'll be first in line with a baseball bat. :)
But I agree about the denial. I noticed (cause I saw the episode- and you were right, I loved it)that in some places it was like Dean was saying what he thought he should say rather than what he wanted to- like when Sam was talking about leaving, there was that pause and then Dean says "yeah, i think that's best" or whatever and I thought hang on... look at you and your face all conflicted... you don't really mean that!
But Dean is Dean. And yes, he's a little self-righteous, and he's totally transferring his feelings rather than owning up to them- but that's Dean. And something's going to happen that will jolt that boy back to intelligence and back to Sam and we can have our brother's back.

I've actually read this a couple of times - you know, one that draws and repels at the same time? It's SO HARD to be reminded of and recognise the pain and anguish of both Sam and Dean. The prayer itself is an inherent part of me, so connecting the two hurts. It feels like hope is crushed by reality, or something......
